Pelican Lake Ranch has become renowned throughout BC and Alberta for horses and for riders. Marlene and Richard Pegg have been providing a retreat and learning center for riders and a training center for quality North American stock handling horses for over 20 years.

The draft horses are an integral part of the winter operations of the ranch. They have been used for feeding, skidding logs for firewood and for recreation. They are also used in the summer for freighting supplies to the range cabin.
