Justin Trudeau’s government has asked a think tank to research this very question: should taxpayers provide a safety net for a news business in free-fall? The think tank is headed by former Globe and Mail Editor in Chief Edward Greenspon, who discusses (and defends?) the idea of a news biz bail-out.
